This is a chance for you as parents to commit to raise your child in a way that pleases God.  When you ask the question “Who do I want my child to become?”, you begin to place Godly values on teaching them the things that will shape their character and their relationship with their Heavenly Father.  Ultimately, who they are will shape everything they do.  It will determine what kind of athlete they become.  It will shape how they handle success or failure.  It will impact the quality of their relationships, and ultimately, it will determine the kind of husband or wife and father or mother they will one day become.  Character shapes everything.
